Seeds. The Unexpected Signal.
The resonator stood in the center of a clearing, its crystalline components shimmering faintly in the dappled sunlight.
“Show me the anomaly,” she said, turning to the lead technician.
The screen displayed a waveform unlike any Donna had seen before, its peaks and troughs forming intricate, repeating patterns.
“This isn’t from the system,” the technician explained.
“It’s too complex, too… intentional.”
Donna’s stomach tightened. “Have you isolated the source?”
“The fault line,” he said. “It’s as if the Earth itself is… responding.”
That evening, Donna stood by the resonator, the rainforest alive with sound around her. Athene joined her.
“Do you think it’s possible?” Athene asked softly. “That we’ve tapped into something deeper than we understand?”
“I don’t know. But if the Earth is responding, it means we’ve opened a dialogue. And dialogues go both ways.”
“You mean… it’s communicating?”
“Maybe. Or maybe it’s warning us. Either way, we have to listen.”
Symbiain. An unexpected signal. A question before a conclusion.
